Written by, at the time, Senator John F. Kennedy in his Pulitzer Prize winning book, “Profiles ln Courage”, the story of Lucius Quintus Cincinnatus Lamar deserves to be remembered. He lived up to his namesake, both in his given name and that of his kin. He has been heralded and harangued for his part in the Civil War era politics of his day. Here is his story as told by JFK, read aloud by Michael J. Penney.
